John Lanyon, CFA | CEO UK

Background | Director at All IPO plc, Throgmorton Street Capital, and concurrent with role at Arkios, was a Senior Partner at Bridge & York Capital helping to build the leading specialist asset and debt finance advisory in the UK, and an Investment Director of Industrial Finance Fund.

Now | Over 10 years at Arkios, and leads client operations in the UK, and select international clients. An active board member of multiple companies, notably in the technology and energy sectors. John is also heavily involved with dementia research in the UK.

Charles Nettlefold | Founder

Background | Executive Director at Credit Suisse First Boston, before becoming a Founding Partner of MC Securities, and later as the Global Head of Private Equity at BNP Paribas, before founding Arkios in 2001, to provide blue-chip quality advice to small and medium sized companies.

Now | Continues to help steer Arkios and provide strategic advice and relationships.

Oli Field-Johnson | Principal

Background | As an adviser, Oli draws on many years as both an investor and operator. He is an angel investor and ran a small private equity fund focused on buy-out succession opportunities. He brings almost a decade of experience in corporate m&a, business development and corporate finance, and oversaw double-digit growth as Global Director at one of WPP’s portfolio companies in the digital, production, and marketing communications space. Oli studied Mathematics at Oxford and holds an MBA from INSEAD.

Vitten Varma | Principal

Background | Vitten has spent the last 4 years in private equity, focused on matching entrepreneurial private investors to SME buy-out opportunities in the UK. He also brings over a decade of operational and commercial experience in the energy sector at Talisman Energy (now Repsol), and has advised large institutional investors as an equity research analyst at Barclays Capital. Vitten studied Mechanical Engineering at McGill University, earned an MBA from INSEAD, and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

James Nimmo | Chairman

Background | From a legal background as a Partner with Ashurts and later Squire Sanders, James joined Arkios in 2005, to help combine the legal, with the strategic, financial and operational considerations for any deal. Concurrent to this role, is a Partner at New Hill Management, and Chairman of the risk committee of the Industrial Finance Fund.

Now | Continues to work closely with clients, often helping to provide a hands-on operational approach, remaining an active board member with many.

Marco Ammirati | CEO International

Background | Director of Private Equity at Dubai International Capital, before a Corporate Finance Director at PWC, covering M&A and investment across Europe, and later over a decade in the Middle East, advising corporate and sovereign clients.

Now | Based in Italy and the Middle East, Marco leads the Arkios international operations, including interaction with regional offices, and significant client work, with a particular focus on cross-border transactions.

Stefano Ledda | Head of Transaction Services

Background | After 7 years as a special forces officer in Italy, Stefano gained three Masters degrees, before spending over 16 years with PWC in Europe, Asia and the Middle East, including leading the regional centre of excellence for financial modelling, and managing the regional due diligence team.

Now | Based in Abu Dhabi, manages the execution team, lending support to Arkios clients globally, while continuing to provide strategic advice to a number of clients regionally.

Gitanas Kancerevycius | Principal

Background | Gitanas graduated as Master in Banking & Insurance at Kaunas Technology University in 2003, later specialized for corporate management and governance at John Cook School of Business, University of Saint Louis, USA. Gitanas is licensed Swiss fiduciary and Board member of several private technology companies.

Formerly was a Board Member of EUR 3,5Bn major Lithuanian commercial bank, supervising expansion and risk management activities. Before that he was corporate finance specialist in major Lithuanian investment bank.

Now | Based in Switzerland, Gitanas works with number of investment partners, and bring network of relationships with many entrepreneurs, family offices and investors in Lithuania and other Baltic countries.

Arianna Braghieri | Investor Relations

Background | Previously with Atlantia; Italy’s leading infrastructure investor, and before Arkios was leading the Commercial DD Practice in Dubai for Value Partners.

Now | Responsible for strategy consulting and investor relations with clients across the MENA region.
